ABOUT ME

His journey in the art world began with his passion for the theater actor. However, designing scenes has become more interesting for him than acting. After the Special Talent Exam, he entered Bilkent University Faculty of Fine Arts with a high success scholarship and then graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Fine Arts.

During his career, he participated in many national and local exhibitions and received awards. He participated in the 65th State Painting and Sculpture Competition of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Turkey with the work titled “Life”. He was constantly looking for opportunities to interact with the wider art community and took part in various exhibitions and workshops.

He took part in the sculptures of Gıyasettin Keyhüsrev and Attalos Monument in Antalya and worked on the application of technical and methodological practices in large sculptures.

In 2008, he founded Talya Art, Sculpture and Design Workshop and took an important step in his art journey. It was one of the important projects of this period and launched the first Derin Water Sculpture Park project in Turkey. With this project, he broke the statue from the usual planes and presented it to the audience as an object of discovery at a depth of forty meters under water.

Together with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Turkey, Selçuk, the ancient city of Efes, has the opportunity to reconstruct trade and warships and produce the history of Anatolian lands by producing the reproductions of 571 interior equipment used on ships. Efes Ancient Port Project is supported by the General Directorate of Museums of the Republic of Turkey and Efes Museum.

The impressive nature of the esoteric forms pushed him to search for deeper concepts. In the quest for aesthetic form, he aimed to explore V.I.T.R.I.O.L and to combine his conceptual outputs with art with philosophical and artistic efforts.

He designed sculptures, which interacted with the audience, depicting time and space, which was constructed with moving and electromechanical infrastructure based on the esoteric form of the lotus flower.

With the “Root, Anatolian Symbols” project, the automotive industry by transforming its mechanical parts into esoteric conceptual sculptures, it aimed to examine the rich cultural heritage of the Anatolian territory and to draw attention to the importance of industrial recycling, and exhibited sculptures created with automobile fragments in the exhibition halls and then in the showrooms of well -known automotive brands.

After the challenges of the global outbreak in 2021, he started a new artistic project, which was the continuation of the root series and focused on the esoteric forms and concepts of European cultures. With this project, which he calls “root, European symbols”, he focuses on exploring stories and narratives, concepts and forms in European cultures.

He likes to use his work not only as an artistic effort, but also as a philosophical tool to tell his stories. It creates fictional forms by designing the devotion to sustainability and environmental consciousness in order to overcome time, boundaries and artistic tradition, reach beyond static forms in visual expression and attract the art audience to the universe behind the form, and designs industrial recycling.
