Sun symbol in Anatolia, which means the country where the sun rises, represents the light fighting in the dark and the divine in response to the earthly things.
It is also expressed as the fruit of the tree of life since it enlighten the earth and the life or three along with it. Sun and moon represents the unity of masculine and feminine powers together. Since the sun constantly rises and sets and since its light both gives life and destroys, it represents the life and death and also the renewal of life with the help of death.
